2. What do you do on the series?
Good question. It’s a mixture of choosing dreams (i.e. projects), selecting the right team and then spending most of your time trying to find finance. This is something that can take from one year to ten. My motto is ‘never give up.’ It is the most ill-defined but wonderful job you could hope for.
3. What is the most ‘Spud’ thing to happen in your life?
I’ve never appreciated unnecessary rules or structure. So as a junior cub (junior Boy Scout), I did not see why I had to keep to the pathway on a woodland walk. It was far more fun to splash each other in the flooded ditches. The scoutmaster was not pleased. My punishment was to wash the scout room floor but I chose another life instead.
